Qualifications

• Advanced degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or similar.
• Industry experience as data scientist and experience in ML, data visualizations, data mining, data understanding.
• Hands-on experience in PySpark, Python and ML libraries like numpy, pandas, scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised ML algorithms like regression, SVM, decision trees, random forests, XGBoost.
• Strong foundation in statistics, hypothesis testing and exploratory data analysis (EDA).

Responsibilities

• Formulating, suggesting, and managing data-driven projects to advance telecom-domain business goals.
• Collating and cleaning data from multiple entities.
• Selecting and applying advanced statistical procedures for actionable insights.
• Cross-validating models to ensure generalizability.
• Producing non-technical reports detailing successes and limitations of each project.
• Suggesting how insights inform business strategy.
• Staying current on data science developments to keep outputs relevant.
