Job summary

Point Predictive is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and operationalize AI-powered applications leveraging AWS Bedrock and Snowflake Cortex AI. You will work across data science, data engineering, product, and backend teams to move AI capabilities from prototype to production in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with 2+ years in applied AI or ML in production.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered apps on AWS Bedrock including KBs, Agents, and Guardrails.
• Experience with Snowflake Cortex AI — Cortex LLM functions, Cortex Search, Document AI.
• Strong Python skills with cloud SDKs (Boto3, Snowflake Connector, LangChain).
• Experience designing RAG architectures and vector-store management.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, few-shot learning, and structured outputs.
• Snowflake SQL/dbt and data pipelines handling semi-structured data.
• Knowledge of AI eval, monitoring, guardrails, and PII redaction for compliance.
• Cloud security basics (IAM, KMS, VPC) for AI deployments; strong communicator.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production AI applications using AWS Bedrock and Snowflake Cortex AI.
• Integrate foundation models (Claude, Titan, Llama, Mistral) into products with cost and compliance in mind.
• Build and maintain Snowflake Cortex-based pipelines to surface actionable signals.
• Develop vector stores, embeddings, and document ingestion for semantic retrieval.
• Implement AI agent frameworks and multi-step reasoning workflows with Bedrock tools.
• Collaborate with Data Science to surface model outputs and risk signals in context windows.
• Instrument systems with observability, latency, accuracy, and cost tracking across models.
• Enforce security, data governance, and compliance across AI systems.
