Stealth AI Startup in San Francisco is seeking a Member of Technical Staff (AI Engineering) to help build AI-native experiences from the ground up. You will ship AI-agent features, craft intelligent prompts, and drive the product direction with a strong emphasis on user-centric AI usage and reliability.

You will work closely with product and design teams, owning AI components from prototype to production while shaping personalization, context awareness, and proactive recommendations for

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience, ideally building AI-native consumer products.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, RAG, memory systems, and model evaluation.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience deploying production AI applications.
• Excellent product intuition and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI-agent experiences involving LLMs, tool use, model orchestration, and conversational interfaces.
• Develop long-term memory, retrieval, and contextual intelligence systems.
• Create personalized AI features, including intelligent summaries, contextual insights, and proactive recommendations.
• Design and optimize prompts, evaluation frameworks, and agent performance.
• Collaborate closely with product and design to deliver intuitive, reliable, and engaging AI experiences.
• Take end-to-end ownership of AI features from prototype to production.
