Job summary

The World Bank invites an AI Engineer to join INT, working on AI agent solutions within the Azure cloud stack. You will design, develop, and deploy LLM-powered features, orchestration patterns, RAG pipelines, and secure, scalable workflows across internal systems.

This is a one-year ET appointment based in Washington, DC, with responsibilities spanning architecture, implementation, and operations. Applicants should have 2+ years in AI/ML with Python, cloud experience, and a proven record

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/AI/DS or related field.
• Minimum 2 years building AI/ML solutions with LLMs.
• Experience with LLM APIs, vector search, and agent frameworks.
• Strong Python and API development skills.
• Proficient English, able to communicate technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions and agent workflows with planning and tool use.
• Build and tune RAG pipelines and evaluations.
• Integrate AI with internal systems and Azure services.
• Establish CI/CD and monitoring for deployed solutions.
• Produce technical docs and runbooks.
