Job summary

Aptima is seeking a data science researcher to design and implement machine learning models and data analysis workflows for AI‑driven projects in national security. This role requires strong analytical skills and practical ML experience.

You will research cutting‑edge AI models, obtain and clean training data, develop feature encodings, code ML methods, and validate models with statistical techniques, while building interfaces for exploring AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Training and/or relevant coursework in research methods and statistics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
• Completed BA/BS in psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, human factors, data science, or related fields.
• Currently enrolled and have completed at least one year of coursework in an accredited graduate program working toward a Master or Doctoral degree.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on design and implementation of machine learning models and data analysis workflows for AI‑driven projects.
