Job summary

SkillStorm is recruiting working software developers for its Forward Deployed Engineer program. You will receive six weeks of paid AI engineering training and certification, then deploy to Fortune 100 companies and federal agencies.

Earn $95,000–$120,000 in your first year, with full benefits and 401(k). U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance are required; relocation to Tysons Corner, VA is possible or hybrid on-site work is available.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one of Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/Node.js; framework experience is a plus.
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Secret clearance.
• Hybrid on-site work in Tysons Corner, VA or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI-enabled applications within the client’s cloud environment.
• Own delivery of a client-facing capability end-to-end from problem framing to deployment.
• Work embedded with client engineers and stakeholders in their environment and tooling.
• Translate business needs into scoped specifications and defensible architecture.
• Apply AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery and create AI-enabled capabilities.
• Set patterns and best practices for other engineers to follow.
• Brief client stakeholders on progress, risks, and tradeoffs; produce durable documentation.
