Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking an AI Engineer III to lead the design and delivery of scalable data services and AI-powered data products for travelers, partners, and internal teams. You will combine software engineering fundamentals with data engineering and AI to build secure, high-quality data experiences on modern cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience owning data products with measurable impact.
• Proven delivery of end-to-end data service/product using AI tools.
• Proficiency in Java or Scala and strong CS fundamentals; API/data modeling experience.
• Experience with data pipelines (batch and stream) and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve complex data products end to end—from design through deployment and production support.
• Apply modern engineering practices and use AI to accelerate development and improve testing and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, data and business teams to align simple, resilient solutions.
• Design and integrate services, APIs and data models for consumable data products by humans and AI systems.
• Mentor and share knowledge, guiding earlier-career engineers and promoting responsible AI usage.
