Job summary

Navitas Business Consulting seeks an AI Engineer 1 to design, develop, and govern AI/ML architectures supporting enterprise modernization initiatives. You will contribute to AI architecture development, model governance, data pipeline engineering, and agentic AI capabilities while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and governance requirements.

The role requires an Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility, 3+ years of AI/ML experience, and proficiency with AWS/Azure/GCP and

Qualifications

• Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Data Science; Master preferred.
• 3+ years AI/ML engineering or solution development experience.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Python, ML frameworks, and API development.
• Knowledge of AI governance, model lifecycle management, and data architecture concepts.
• DOW 8140 certification required.
• Ability to obtain/maintain TS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of AI/ML architectures and cloud data pipelines.
• Develop AI model governance, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Design agentic AI architectures and multi-agent orchestration frameworks.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures and vector database integrations.
• Support explainability, bias detection, model performance monitoring, and drift management.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and engineering teams to integrate AI technologies into enterprise platforms.
• Support architecture governance reviews and technical assessments.
• Document AI architecture designs, standards, and implementation guidance.
