Insight Global is seeking an AI Engineer I in Chicago to join a research and technology-driven team. You will gain hands-on experience building Python-based applications, automations, and workflows that integrate large language models into real-world business contexts.

You will work with experienced leadership, explore prompt engineering, APIs, RAG, data processing, testing, and responsible AI practices while contributing to enterprise AI platform initiatives in a collaborative environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or related field.
• 0–2 years of Python development experience including internships, academic work, or personal projects.
• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM tools or APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock) into scripts or workflows.
• Familiarity with Git, code review, and basic software testing practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• NLP, machine learning, or RAG coursework/projects.
• AWS or Azure exposure.
• REST API experience.
• Containerization exposure.
• SQL and pandas knowledge.
• Databricks familiarity.
• Interest or experience in social science research, survey data, or public-sector environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer looking to build hands‑on experience developing enterprise AI solutions. This candidate will develop Python-based applications and automation, integrate large language models into real‑world business and research workflows, and support AI assistants and knowledge bases on an enterprise AI platform. They will gain exposure to prompt engineering, APIs, RAG, data processing, testing, and responsible AI practices while working alongside experienced technical leadership.
