Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics LLC seeks an AI Engineer on-site in Houston, TX to evaluate and adopt new AI technologies, prototype approaches with technology leadership, and scale AI solutions across the stack.

You will prioritize high-value use cases, collaborate with platform teams, and help shape data architectures, observability, and security for model plugins and tools. A STEM degree and several years of programming are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or related discipline.
• 3+ years of programming in a team context.
• Experience with repeatable deployment patterns using Docker and IaC is ideal.
• Hands-on experience with ML/LLM tools in a business context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take point on technical development and exploration for high-value AI use cases (POC mode).
• Turn successful POCs into production-ready solutions with other engineering teams.
• Shape data and software architecture to support developers and AI agents/models.
• Develop AI platform standards for observability, testing, and model tool integration.
• Collaborate with business teams on vendor evaluations and new AI projects.
