Wire IT, based in Portugal, is an IT consulting partner with 18 years of experience, seeking a data engineer to build reusable data products, co-own AI work, and drive end-to-end delivery in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with developers and leadership, apply CI/CD practices, and work with modern data stacks including SQL, Python, and cloud-based tools. Join a growing, international team focused on quality and impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a data engineer delivering end-to-end projects.
• Professional English fluency and strong collaboration with leadership.
• Solid understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and production software engineering.
• Experience with Databricks/Spark, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Proficiency in SQL and data modeling.
• Experience with AI engineering: prompts, function calling, evaluation, APIs.

You build reusable products, not one-off pipelines. You co-own the AI work, you do not just hand requirements to your AI-systems counterpart.

Требования:

Minimum of 5 years as a data engineer with a track record of end-to-end delivery in fast-paced environments. Professional fluency in English , are an excellent collaborator between developers and leadership, and have the ability to guide others. You have a solid understanding of engineering and architectural principles , and you are comfortable collaborating on CI/CD workflows and using version control (Git) Strong production software engineering: Python, testing, CI/CD, REST, Docker. Experience on atleast one, Databricks/Spark, Snowflake, or BigQuery, are strong in SQL and data modelling, and can reason confidently across the others and pick up a partner's stack fast. Enough AI engineering to be a full builder on an agentic system: prompt design, structured outputs, function calling, and evaluation, with the Anthropic and OpenAI APIs.
