Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered tools for construction and operations. You will work with field teams and stakeholders to identify friction, translate needs into AI solutions, and iterate on prompts and workflows.

Early work includes self-contained tools, advancing toward deeper system integration. The role suits someone with hands-on AI experience and a portfolio of ai projects, eager to grow within a safety-conscious, US-wide contractor environment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field.
2+ years of data-related work experience (analytics, BI, data entry systems, reporting).
1+ year of hands-on experience with AI tools, platforms, or APIs.
Experience with Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Google Gemini; portfolio of AI projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and deploy lightweight AI-powered tools to improve operational efficiency.
Translate manual processes into AI-driven solutions with field teams.
Develop prompt engineering strategies for reliable LLM outputs.
Prototype AI workflows using LLM APIs, automation platforms, and custom scripts.
Create dashboards or simple apps for non-technical users to interact with AI tools.
Integrate AI tools with internal/3rd-party systems via APIs for scalable workflows.
Monitor AI performance and guard against hallucinations and data issues.
Document workflows and promote scalable adoption across teams.
Stay current on AI tools and practices to guide strategic AI initiatives.
