Job summary

Prestige Staffing seeks an AI Engineer for Plano, TX, in a hybrid environment. You will design and operationalize our AI Accelerator platform, leveraging generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and multi-agent workflows.

Recommendable candidates will build governed knowledge bases, implement retrieval pipelines, and ensure secure, auditable AI outputs within an agile team. Strong Python and ML background with focus on responsible AI and security practices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of software development, data science, machine learning, or AI engineering experience, including production-quality Python coding and version control
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented systems, or AI assistants using APIs and structured tool integrations
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern software engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, API documentation, and observability
• Knowledge of data retrieval/indexing, embeddings, vector/hybrid search, and evaluation metrics
• Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
• Demonstrated commitment to responsible AI, data governance, privacy, and security practices

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data and business teams to develop a governed knowledge base with trusted data and documents
• Implement retrieval pipelines, metadata tagging, source citations, and quality checks to ensure trustworthy context for AI outputs
• Develop datasets and metrics to evaluate retrieval relevance, grounding, and completeness
• Design, build, and maintain secure multi-agent workflows, ensuring outputs are structured, traceable, and reliable
• Define agent roles, tool contracts, error handling, and human review points for multi-agent AI systems
• Create reusable workflows and patterns that enhance repeatability and usability for data scientists and engineers
• Support model evaluation, KPI tracking, and governance frameworks aligned with enterprise security and responsible AI standards
• Work in agile cycles, demonstrate incremental progress, document technical decisions, and incorporate feedback into development priorities
