raydar in New York, NY is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design and deliver agent-based features from concept to production. You will own the supporting layer around agents, including evaluation, guardrails, tool integrations, monitoring, and audit trails, while building Python back-end services and APIs on AWS.

You will work with frontier language models, manage prompts and context, and lead AI projects from idea to rollout in a small, fast-moving team.

Qualifications

4+ years of software engineering experience.
1–3 years building autonomous AI tools in live environments.
Experience taking an AI agent/LLM feature from concept to production.
Strong backend experience with Python, Django or FastAPI on AWS.
Hands-on with frontier language models; prompting, tool use, and context management.
Comfortable owning ambiguous, high-stakes work in a small team.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver agent-based product features end to end, from concept to production release.
Own the supporting layer around each agent: evaluation, guardrails, tool integrations, monitoring, audits.
Build backend services and APIs in Python; shape user-facing interfaces.
Develop AI systems across multiple LLM providers, balancing performance and cost.
Lead AI projects from idea to production with independence; set patterns for future teams.
Track and adopt new models and tools to accelerate development.
