Cambio is seeking an AI Engineer to build AI-powered features, help teammates do their best work, and have fun doing it. You will design and run evals, build data and inference pipelines, and explore new models to improve accuracy and cost.

You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and collaborate closely with teammates to deliver impact across the real estate decarbonization platform.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping AI features for production systems.
• Hands-on with LLMs, prompting, fine-tuning, or retrieval-based AI.
• Familiarity with evaluation of model quality in production.
• Understanding of vector databases and retrieval-based architectures.
• Ability to balance model cost, latency, and accuracy in real-world use.

Responsibilities

• Build AI features end-to-end from prototype to production.
• Design and run evals to measure and improve model/feature quality.
• Build and maintain data + inference pipelines powering AI features.
• Experiment with new models, prompting, and retrieval approaches.
• Support and collaborate with teammates.
