Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced AI software engineer to build and integrate AI-powered applications using LLM APIs and agentic architectures. You will design and implement multi-step workflows, optimize latency and accuracy, and harden systems with guardrails to reduce hallucinations in production.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed AI capabilities into existing microservices and backend platforms, leveraging vector databases and advanced prompt design.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience delivering production systems.
• Hands-on experience building agentic applications or LLM-integrated chatbots.
• Experience developing agentic applications with the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).
• Fluency in Python or another comparable backend programming language.
• Proficiency with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, etc.).
• Proficiency in prompt design and evaluation (prompt engineering).
• Google Agent Development Kit (ADK) – Expert
• Python – Expert
• English – C1
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
• Ability to align with PMs and cross-functional engineering teams
• Flexibility to iterate on solutions in response to evolving production requirements

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate AI-powered applications using LLM APIs, agentic architectures, and RAG pipelines on vector databases.
• Develop agentic workflows and multi-step reasoning tailored to specific business use cases.
• Optimize model accuracy, reliability, and latency.
• Implement guardrails to mitigate hallucinations and improve response quality.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure the operational stability of AI capabilities deployed in production.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing microservices and backend systems.
