Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own the technical build and delivery of a tailored AI solution for a large client, from design through live rollout.

Work daily with a distributed engineering group and serve as a technical point of contact for the client’s engineers. Based on the US East Coast and available during Eastern time hours, you will adapt the platform to client environments, release software, and ensure reliability in regulated settings.

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of software engineering experience.
• Proficient Python development for backend or full-stack projects.
• Track record releasing LLM-based or agent-style systems in live environments.
• Recent experience at a high-growth startup delivering software to business customers.
• Strong software architecture and system design skills; able to own delivery end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Adapt a core AI platform to a large client’s environment from design through rollout.
• Collaborate daily with a remote engineering team to bring client changes back to codebase.
• Own production releases, integrations, and reliability of AI systems in a regulated setting.
• Act as the main technical contact for the client’s engineers; ~20% client-facing work.
• Diagnose complex production issues and drive resolution with minimal oversight.

The role

What you’ll do

• Adapt a core AI platform to a large client’s environment, owning the work from design through rollout.

• Collaborate daily with a remote engineering team to bring client-specific changes back into the shared codebase.

• Own production releases, integrations and reliability of AI systems in a regulated setting.

• Act as the main technical contact for the client’s engineers, with roughly 20% of time spent in client-facing work.

• Diagnose complex production issues and drive them to resolution with little oversight.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• 6 to 12 years of software engineering experience.

• Solid Python development background on backend or full-stack work, delivering features powered by machine learning from start to finish.

• Track record of releasing LLM-based or agent-style systems that real outside users depend on in live environments.

• Recent experience as an engineer at a high-growth startup delivering software to business customers.

• Strong skills in software architecture and system design, with the ability to carry technical delivery from start to finish.

• Based on the US East Coast and available during Eastern time hours.

• BS in Computer Science or a related field.

Bonus points

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD and observability tooling, without needing a pure infrastructure profile.
