Job summary

Alchemi is building AI to accelerate drug development, with a small team and a broad scope. You will build end-to-end agents, map real workflows, and ship an agent trusted by demanding customers within weeks.

Work closely with scientists and customers to write evals, improve models, and turn one-off successes into reusable parts of the platform, delivering impact from New York City.

About Alchemi

The role

The agents are the product. You'll build them end to end: take a real workflow, figure out how experts actually do it, and ship an agent good enough that some of the most demanding customers in the world trust it. Small team, huge scope, and your work goes in front of customers within weeks.

What you'll do

• Build and ship agents, from tools and retrieval to orchestration and model choice.


• Write the evals that prove they work, and keep raising the bar.


• Work side by side with our scientists and customers.


• Turn one-off wins into reusable pieces of the platform.

What we're looking for

• You’ve built LLM apps or agents that real people use, not just demos.


• Strong Python and good engineering habits.


• You ship fast and learn faster.


• You’re obsessed with how you know something actually works.


• Early in your career is fine. We care about slope, not years.

• Side projects, hackathon wins or open-source work you're proud of.

Small team, low process, high trust. Two-week release cadence, design specs reviewed carefully, and an active resistance to ticket sprawl. Based in New York City, with daily overlap across a team that spans Pacific Time to Western Europe.
