Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Statistics).
• 3+ years applying analytical methods in ML or data science.
• 3+ years experience with AI/ML and Python-based tools.
• Must have experience with Gen AI technologies.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms and AI Platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models and algorithms to address complex business problems.
• Handle data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering for model readiness.
• Train, evaluate, and tune a range of ML models.

Ford Motor Company is looking for an AI/ML Engineer in Dearborn, MI to design, build, and deploy machine learning solutions that support customer experience, revenue, and operational efficiency. This hybrid role focuses on delivering models end-to-end, from data preparation through training, evaluation, and deployment.

Role overview

You will work across the full machine learning lifecycle, including data preprocessing and feature engineering, model training and tuning, and deployment of AI/ML solutions. The position also calls for strong coding capability in Python-based ecosystems and hands-on experience with GenAI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models and algorithms to address complex business problems.
• Handle data preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering for model training readiness.
• Train, evaluate, and tune a range of machine learning models.
• Develop and maintain robust, efficient code using Python and relevant libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Document code, experiments, and results clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers across the team.
• Work in an agile environment, partnering closely with a product manager and other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (examples include Data Science, Predictive Analytics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Applied Mathematics, IT).
• 3+ years of experience applying analytical methods appropriately.
• 3+ years of experience using AI/ML and data science software (Python-based tools).
• MUST HAVE experience using Gen AI technologies.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms and AI Platforms.

Preferred requirements

• Working knowledge of GCP.
• Expertise in open-source data science technologies such as Python, R, Spark, and SQL.
• Conceptual understanding of data pipelines and MLOps.
