Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with AI/GenAI delivery.

• Strong experience with RAG and vector databases (Azure AI Search, Pinecone, FAISS).
• Experience with knowledge graphs (Neo4j, Cosmos DB Gremlin).
• Experience with LLM frameworks such as Azure OpenAI, LangChain, Semantic Kernel.
• Proficiency in Python and REST APIs.
• Cloud experience, preferably Azure.

ProcyonIT is seeking an experienced AI Engineer to design and build AI agents and copilots for enterprise use cases in Charlotte, North Carolina. The engagement is contract-based and onsite-focused, with work spanning RAG pipelines, knowledge graphs, and integration across internal systems and APIs.

Role Overview

This AI Engineer position focuses on developing practical AI capabilities, including copilots and agent workflows built with Microsoft Copilot Studio. Responsibilities also include implementing RAG (retrieval augmented generation) pipelines, constructing knowledge graphs to improve response accuracy, and ensuring quality, performance, and cost effectiveness for production outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents and copilots using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Develop RAG pipelines across ingestion, embedding, indexing, retrieval, and generation.
• Build and query knowledge graphs to improve answer accuracy.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise systems and APIs.
• Evaluate and optimize output quality, latency, and cost.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years total IT experience, including 4+ years delivering AI/GenAI solutions.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Strong experience with RAG and vector databases, including Azure AI Search, Pinecone, FAISS, or similar technologies.
• Experience with knowledge graphs (Neo4j, Cosmos DB Gremlin, or comparable tools).
• Experience with LLM frameworks such as Azure OpenAI, LangChain, or Semantic Kernel.
• Proficiency in Python and REST APIs.
• Cloud experience, preferably Azure.

Technologies and Tools

Preferred Qualifications
