Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Technology Consultant 2 to join our Retail, Consumer Goods, and Logistics unit in Austin. You will contribute to requirements elicitation, design discussions, and coding efforts to deliver AI-enabled software solutions with stable, scalable performance.

You will deploy and operate AI agents in production, optimize latency and reliability in hybrid environments, write SQL, and develop training materials while collaborating across business and technology teams in a global

Qualifications

• Experience in Python programming and applied experience with AI/ML.
• Experience with design discussions and documenting design decisions.
• Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and operating AI agents in production.
• Experience deploying AI systems in large‑scale, hybrid environments with focus on performance and reliability.
• Experience writing SQL for core technical and domain skills.

Job Description

In the assigned job role of Technology Consultant 2, your area of responsibility will include:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team toward building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skills

• Experience in Python programming and applied experience with a range of LLMs
• Experience in applying and extending AI agent frameworks (Google ADK, LangChain, etc.)
• Hands‑on experience developing, deploying, and operating AI agents in production
• Experience deploying AI systems in large‑scale, hybrid environments with a focus on performance and reliability
• Experience writing SQL for core technical and domain skills

Preferred Skills

• Portfolio of deployed agentic systems that have delivered significant, measurable impact
• Experience in evaluation frameworks for AI agents
• Proven years of software development or machine‑learning experience
• Proven expertise in optimizing AI agents for latency, scalability, and cost
• Experience in big data is an added advantage
• Track record of thought leadership or contributions to the field of agentic AI
• M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, machine learning, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Understanding of Agile software development frameworks
• Ability to work in teams in a diverse, multi‑stakeholder environment comprising of business and technology teams
• Experience and desire to work in a global delivery environment

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of one year of education.
