Job Description: AI Engagement Manager / Director at C3 AI

We are seeking highly skilled individuals with experience in managing the development of complex enterprise AI solutions, demonstrating a proven track record of delivering business value and outcomes for clients as trusted advisors. Essential expertise includes business consulting, software development lifecycle, enterprise software, AI/ML, cloud deployments, data integration, and domain experience in the Energy sector (Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, LNG, Renewable Energy, Power Generation, Utilities, Oilfield Services).

The AI Engagement Manager / Director will collaborate with executive stakeholders to define use cases, create specifications, lead solution deployment, drive adoption, and ensure the realization of business value. This role also involves working with internal and external teams to identify growth opportunities, expand solutions within customer organizations, and influence product roadmaps. Skills required include strategy consulting, product management, project management, facilitation, stakeholder management, and AI/ML proficiency.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with customers to develop compelling AI use cases that generate business value and translate these into detailed requirements.
  2. Transform business requirements into AI application features, map use cases to team tasks, and develop detailed project plans.
  3. Lead cross-functional teams comprising Data Science, Application Development, Data Integration, Product Management, and DevOps professionals.
  4. Coordinate with internal teams to balance short-term deliverables with long-term product development.
  5. Manage project governance activities, including planning, status reviews, and executive updates.
  6. Anticipate stakeholder needs, address obstacles, manage risks, and set realistic expectations.
  7. Measure and track the value delivered by C3 AI solutions.
  8. Advise executive stakeholders on future use cases and drive customer success, retention, and expansion.
  9. Create high-quality communications to influence customer and company success.
  10. Build trusted relationships through effective and proactive communication.
  11. Travel to customer sites approximately 20% of the time.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
  2. 6-15 years of experience in business consulting and product or delivery management within enterprise SaaS solutions.
  3. Experience leading customer engagements involving AI/ML, data science, cloud infrastructure, solution architecture, application development, and data engineering.
  4. Strong presence with customers, capable of serving as a trusted advisor.
  5. Customer-oriented with a focus on understanding and addressing organizational needs.
  6. Data-driven, analytical, and committed to process improvement.
  7. Ability to navigate between business and technical domains, providing leadership in both areas.
  8. Excellent communication and presentation skills with attention to detail.
