About the Company
Brio Digital is working with a leading AI technology company that partners with frontier AI research organisations and major global enterprises to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced AI systems.
The company operates at the cutting edge of Generative AI, combining specialist AI engineering talent, high-quality data and advanced training infrastructure to support frontier model development. For enterprise customers, it designs and deploys proprietary AI solutions that integrate into mission-critical workflows and solve complex business problems.
The organisation brings together experienced AI, technology and consulting talent from some of the world's leading technology companies, research institutions and professional services firms.
The Role
We're looking for an AI Engagement Lead to lead complex Generative AI programmes for major enterprise customers.
This is a senior, client-facing role sitting at the intersection of Generative AI, product, consulting and technical delivery. You'll own AI engagements end-to-end, taking projects from initial use-case identification and proof of concept through to full-scale production implementation.
You'll work directly with senior client stakeholders while leading cross-functional teams of AI engineers and other technical specialists.
Previous projects delivered by the wider team have included multi-agent LLM systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) platforms and open-source LLM deployments for major enterprises.
Client Engagement & AI Strategy
- Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and act as a primary point of contact throughout AI engagements.
- Lead conversations with clients and prospects to identify new AI and Generative AI use cases.
- Develop the AI product pipeline and identify opportunities to expand solutions into additional business processes.
- Evaluate and prioritise AI use cases based on technical feasibility, commercial opportunity and business impact.
- Manage client expectations, feedback and escalations proactively.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to capture and consolidate requirements across different business functions.
- Translate business challenges into clearly defined, actionable AI product requirements.
- Identify opportunities where new AI products can create measurable business value and unlock new revenue opportunities.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical direction to engineering teams around appropriate GenAI architectures, solution design and system design.
- Align engineering teams around a clear technical roadmap and ensure successful execution.
- Maintain a strong understanding of emerging developments across LLMs, agentic AI and Generative AI.
- Engage confidently with technical and business stakeholders around emerging AI approaches and their potential applications.
- Work with technologies and concepts including LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, agents and cloud-based AI architectures.
- Drive alignment across engineering, product and client-facing teams.
- Remove blockers by ensuring effective communication and prioritisation between internal teams and customers.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams throughout complex AI programmes.
- Conduct regular 1:1s focused on support, expectations, delivery alignment and team effectiveness.
- Create clear ownership and accountability across project teams.
Programme & Delivery Ownership
- Own the overall delivery of Generative AI programmes, ensuring quality, scope and timelines are consistently achieved.
- Manage programme-level timelines across releases, project phases and production go-lives.
- Co-own delivery planning and facilitate sprint planning to ensure engineering priorities align with business objectives.
- Ensure engineering capacity and technical feasibility are considered before commitments are made to customers.
- Own high-quality business and product documentation, including requirements, BRDs/PRDs, implementation plans and product roadmaps.
- Ensure delivery decisions consider operational costs, ROI and long-term business impact.
- Identify programme risks early and create proactive mitigation plans.
- Track programme health across key milestones and proactively communicate potential issues.
- Assess new customer requests in partnership with engineering leadership before committing to scope or delivery timelines.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of professional experience.
- 4+ years leading Machine Learning and/or AI programmes.
- Experience owning complex technology or AI engagements end-to-end.
- Strong client-facing experience with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with senior business and technical stakeholders within large organisations.
- Strong understanding of modern Generative AI and agentic architectures.
- Knowledge of frameworks and technologies such as LangChain and LangGraph.
- Understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and/or GCP.
- Experience with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Ability to translate between business requirements, product strategy and technical implementation.
- An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take ownership of ambiguous, high-impact problems.
Who This Role Would Suit
This position would suit someone who combines the client leadership of a technology consultant with the technical understanding of an AI leader.
You don't necessarily need to be the person writing every line of production code, but you should understand modern Generative AI systems deeply enough to challenge engineering decisions, guide solution design and communicate credibly with technical stakeholders.
You'll also need to be commercially minded: identifying valuable AI use cases, understanding ROI and helping enterprise customers move from experimentation to production.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of major enterprise Generative AI programmes while working within an organisation operating at the forefront of applied AI.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead end-to-end enterprise GenAI programmes, from POC through production.
- Work on sophisticated LLM, RAG and agentic AI systems.
- Partner directly with major enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.
- Influence both AI strategy and technical execution.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of experienced AI and engineering professionals.
- Work in a fast-moving, AI-first environment with significant ownership and autonomy.
- Receive a $220,000–$250,000 base salary + equity.
- Benefit from flexible working hours and a highly collaborative environment.
