Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks a Shipping Associate to verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments and to prepare and pack items for shipment within the Sensor, Test & Calibration business unit. You will assemble orders, select containers, operate equipment, and ensure accuracy and safety in daily tasks.

Role requires reading and interpreting documents, strong English communication, and the ability to work overtime as needed. A collaborative, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one-year manufacturing assembly or electronic/technical work experience preferred.
• Must read and interpret documents and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assembles orders, checks against shipping or customer orders and reports shortages.
• Selects appropriate shipping containers and packing materials.
• Operates standard manual and automatic equipment.
• Stacks shipments on skids and delivers them to the shipping dock.
• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
• Checks receipts against purchase orders for proper shipment and damages.
• Adheres to safety and company policies; performs other duties as assigned.
• Willingness to work overtime with short notice.
