Mariner is seeking an experienced Product Security & Business Enablement Lead to partner with product, data, and engineering teams, embedding security early in roadmaps and designs to empower the business. You will drive secure solutions across SaaS, APIs, and AI-enabled workflows while shaping the security strategy for a rapidly growing platform.

This senior individual contributor role emphasizes practical security enablement, threat modeling, and collaboration with security and procurement

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience across security architecture, cloud/SaaS security, solutions architecture, engineering, or SRE/DevOps, with at least 4 years in a dedicated security role.
• Deep experience designing or securing distributed systems comprised of SaaS, APIs, custom applications, data integrations, and third-party services.
• Proven ability to analyze unfamiliar architectures quickly, identify security gaps, and guide practical solutions.
• Strong partnership skills—able to work directly with business, engineering, data, and architecture leaders.
• Evidence of adapting security requirements in light of business needs, with clear articulation of tradeoffs made.

Aufgaben

• Shape secure solutions from the outset with product, engineering, architecture, and data leaders.
• Assess the security of Mariner’s platforms—SaaS, APIs, data flows, and AI features—identify trust boundaries and risks.
• Facilitate architecture and threat reviews with delivery teams and document outcomes.
• Build and maintain reusable secure-by-design patterns for SaaS, APIs, integrations, data movement, credentials, authorization, and AI workflows.
• Translate complex security requirements into clear, actionable designs that don’t stall progress.
• Advocate for security in vendor evaluation and SaaS selection, assessing posture and data residency.
• Collaborate with Security Platform Engineering to deliver self-service security capabilities and guardrails.
• Partner with Identity & Access and Infrastructure to ensure strong authentication and posture management.
• Support AI-enabled products with security for data boundaries and audit controls.
• Provide security input for enterprise data strategy, product onboarding, M&A activity, and technology adoption.
• Be a visible, trusted advisor through office hours and embedded team engagement.
