Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. in Waterbury, CT, is seeking an Engineering Systems & Digital Transformation Lead.

You will be the founding owner of an AI-enabled engineering digital environment, consolidating PLM/PDM, SharePoint, and related tools to improve knowledge findability and execution visibility. You will report to the VP of Engineering and collaborate with IT leadership and vendors to drive migrations, governance, and adoption of Microsoft 365 and AI-driven workflows across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• 7+ years supporting engineering systems and PLM/PDM environments, or 5+ years with migration ownership.
• Knowledge of engineering workflows: document control, configuration management, PDM, and change processes.
• Hands-on system administration and governance, end-user training.
• Ability to influence across sites and time zones.
• Experience using AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own ProductCenter PLM/PDM as the functional system owner: configuration, workflows, user access, templates, data standards, and governance.
• Lead migration off disconnected legacy tools, consolidating data into governed systems.
• Define and standardize engineering workflows across sites, including document control and engineering change.
• Drive system upgrades, integrations, and implementations end to end with requirements, config, testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Direct software vendors and implementation partners against defined scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Deploy AI-enabled search and Copilot capabilities for retrievability of engineering data across systems.
• Apply AI and workflow automation to engineering processes to reduce manual routing and admin tasks.
• Build project dashboards for real-time leadership visibility.
