Job summary

Siemens is seeking an Integration Test Software Engineer in Parsippany, NJ. You will validate integrated software on fire safety hardware, drive automated testing, and apply AI-assisted methods to improve coding, debugging, and analysis across embedded platforms.

You will design test plans, develop scripts, and advance CI/CD driven test infrastructure while collaborating with software, firmware, hardware, and product teams to ensure life-safety reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in embedded software, software integration testing, target-hardware validation, test automation, or software development for technical products.
• Programming in Python and at least one of C, C++, C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript for embedded/test automation.
• Understanding of software development practices, modular design, APIs, version control, and CI/CD.
• Ability to read requirements, define test scenarios, analyze results, and document defects clearly.
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and interest in learning complex embedded software and AI-enabled workflows.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Validate integrated software on target fire safety hardware, including embedded firmware and interfaces.
• Improve testability, traceability, defect resolution, and release readiness.
• Advance automated test frameworks for speed, repeatability, coverage, and CI/CD readiness.
• Apply AI-assisted engineering methods to improve coding, test generation, and analysis.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain integration test plans, cases, and scripts.
• Drive automated test framework development with reusable libraries and test harnesses.
• Use Python or similar to build automation, data analysis, and diagnostics tools.
• Verify software behavior across embedded systems, networks, and services.
