Job summary

Apple Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a mid-level quality engineer to build automation for the Wi‑Fi stack across devices. You will design and run large-scale test automation, integrate AI-assisted testing, and collaborate with development and testing teams to improve testability.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in QA automation, experience with Swift/Objective-C/Python, and a strong CI background. Knowledge of AI/ML in test tooling is a plus, and macOS/iOS app testing experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

3+ years in Software QA Automation Engineering.
Experience in Swift/SwiftUI, Objective-C or Python.
Experience with Unit, API, UI, and non-UI testing.
Experience with Continuous Integration systems.
Strong debugging and independent problem solving.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
BS in computer science or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and operate a large-scale test automation lab for multiple Apple products.
Write automation for new and existing features to validate Wi-Fi.
Debug and trouble-shoot device hardware and software failures.
Execute, analyze, report and debug issues as part of software testing execution cycles.
Work with industry standard tools to create micro-services, tools and pipelines to support our CI effort.
Explore and apply AI/ML techniques to improve test coverage, failure triage, log analysis, and root-cause identification across the CI pipeline.
Build and integrate AI-assisted automation tools to accelerate development and testing workflows.
