Minimum 2 years wet-lab research in biological sciences.
Experience with molecular biology and cell biology techniques.
Oxford nanopore library prep and sequencing.
DNA fragment design and ordering.
PCR and gel electrophoresis.
Site-directed mutagenesis.
Molecular cloning and plasmid prep.
Mammalian cell culture and transfection.
DNA/RNA extraction.
RT-qPCR and ELISA or binding assays.
Experience with bacteriophage systems.

Responsibilities

Designing, assembling, and modifying recombinant DNA.
Rescuing and characterizing benign viruses (titration, growth curves, neutralization).
Work with frontier AI to design and troubleshoot experiments.
Make day-to-day lab decisions independently, with or without AI guidance.
