Job summary

EY is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to design AI-enabled applications and digital products. You will spend the majority of your time writing code, reviewing architectures, prototyping solutions, and guiding engineering teams through complex technical decisions.

You will work across cloud-native architectures, integrate data and AI components, ensure security and reliability, and contribute to architecture standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Typically 8+ years in engineering and solution architecture roles with hands-on delivery responsibility.
• Prior consulting or complex product delivery experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with cloud platforms and AI-enabled delivery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures across UI, APIs, data and AI components.
• Prototype and spike solutions to validate architectural decisions early.
• Define reference architectures for AI-enabled products including RAG patterns and prompts.
• Author ADRs, sequence flows, deployment diagrams and non-functional requirements.
• Lead with engineers to set patterns and raise technical quality.
• Review AI-generated code, tests and docs for correctness and risk.
• Define performance, scalability, resilience, observability and operability requirements.
• Design CI/CD pipelines and release automation with operational simplicity.
• Lead client workshops and communicate architectural tradeoffs clearly.
• Ensure production readiness with runbooks and handoffs.
