Job summary

Deepgram is seeking a software engineering intern to work on real projects within the engineering team. You will design, build, and ship a scoped project end to end, guided by a mentor, and contribute to production code across the voice AI platform.

You should be pursuing a degree in CS/engineering or related field, have exposure to ML/real-time systems, and enjoy collaborating with researchers, engineers, and customers to improve AI-driven speech technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship one scoped project end to end, with mentor guidance at each milestone.
• Contribute to a production Deepgram codebase across voice AI platform or related projects.
• Explore real-time speech/ML systems and feedback loops between research, engineering, and customers.
• Experiment with Agentic tooling as a default part of prototyping, testing, and debugging.
