Job summary

Amazon is seeking a software development engineer to help build scalable, AI‑driven systems for a frontier pod. You will work with engineers to address complex problems, design multi‑tier architectures, and deliver high‑quality code for large‑scale platforms.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business teams, strong coding standards, and use of AI agents to accelerate delivery while ensuring security and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large‑scale, multi‑tiered, multi‑threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Solve ambiguous business problems and map them to elegant technical solutions.
• Use object‑oriented concepts, algorithms and data structures to build systems at Amazon scale.
• Innovate and build large scale near real‑time streaming platforms.
• Design, launch, refactor, re‑architect, and/or deprecate multi‑tier systems with large amounts of data.
• Quickly adapt to fast paced development environments and bias towards simple and extensible code.
• Use AI coding agents as a primary development tool, driving features end‑to‑end with the agent as a partner, owning correctness, security, and operational quality.
