Shure is offering a 12-week Software Engineer Intern program based in Niles, IL, with hybrid work options. Interns will contribute to cutting-edge software solutions, researching and prototyping in AI/ML, computer vision, and signal processing.

The role supports onboarding with experienced engineers, and relocation housing stipends are provided for onsite interns. The program emphasizes learning, hands-on development, and exposure to next-generation technologies.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
• Experience in object-oriented programming in C++.
• Experience with Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, Python, JavaScript, Rust.
• Familiar with software development principles, design patterns, OOD.
• Basic understanding of signal processing, computer vision, ML.
• Experience with embedded software development, Mac/PC apps, mobile apps, or cloud-based services.
• Hands-on with DSP, embedded Linux, DL deployment, GPU accelerators.
• Creativity and curiosity for future technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers and researchers to design software for ongoing research.
• Assist in implementing, testing, and optimizing experimental software.
• Stay up to date with AI/ML advances to contribute ideas to the team.
