Job summary

The Bradbury Group is seeking a Software Developer to design and build software solutions that improve business processes across the organization. This is an on-site role at our Moundridge, KS headquarters.

Ideal candidates learn quickly, solve complex problems, and leverage AI tools to create secure, maintainable applications across the enterprise. Manufacturing experience is not required but curiosity and technical aptitude are essential.

• Experience with database-backed applications and SQL.
• Experience with modern web application development.
• Experience with APIs and system integrations.
• Experience with source control such as Git.
• Ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar business processes.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain internal business applications.
• Work directly with employees and department leaders to understand business problems and requirements.
• Simplify inefficient processes before automating them.
• Replace manual processes, spreadsheets, paper forms, and disconnected applications with modern solutions.
• Heavily use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Validate AI-generated code for accuracy, security, performance, and maintainability.
• Develop database-backed applications, APIs, and integrations with existing business systems.
• Work with structured and unstructured business data.
• Build intuitive applications that are easy for employees to use.
• Create prototypes quickly, gather feedback, and improve solutions iteratively.
• Document applications, architecture, integrations, and deployment requirements.
• Support and improve applications after deployment.
• Follow company cybersecurity, data governance, and AI usage standards.
