Ncontracts in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Software Architect with a strong AI focus to translate architectural decisions into production software. The role blends hands-on coding with guiding AI-enabled features, including LLM integration, pattern implementation, and adherence to enterprise standards.

You will collaborate with Enterprise and Solution Architects, review code, design reference implementations, and mentor teams across projects while growing into broader architectural

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive software engineering with leadership or senior-level experience.
• Hands-on coding with production-grade results.
• Experience with C#, React, or Python in modern apps.
• Hands-on experience building with large language models (LLMs).
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and evaluation of AI features.
• Familiarity with Langfuse or similar observability tooling.
• Cloud experience on Azure or AWS.
• Understanding of microservices, API design, and event-driven patterns.
• Strong code-review skills and cross-team collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Implement architectural patterns and standards defined by Enterprise and Solution Architects, including AI components.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure AI-powered features align with architecture decisions.
• Translate high-level guidance into concrete implementation approaches.
• Review completed implementations for architectural alignment and quality.
• Design and implement patterns for integrating LLMs into product features.
• Develop reference implementations and prototype approaches to validate decisions.
• Collaborate with other architects to set standards for responsible AI use.
