Job summary

Epicor in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Product Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions across the full lifecycle. You will leverage AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery and help build scalable, cloud-native applications, mentoring peers and improving engineering standards.

You'll collaborate in architecture discussions, participate in code reviews, and build automation to boost release readiness and developer productivity, while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in software engineering and modern application development.
• 2+ years’ experience in cloud technologies, AI-assisted development, or related technical domains.
• Strong proficiency in Python, C#, Node.js, or similar languages and frameworks.
• Experience with software design, automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, secure coding, and Agile delivery.
• Ability to effectively utilize AI coding tools for development, reviews, testing, and documentation.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, debugging, communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, refactor, test, and maintain applications, services, APIs, and frameworks that support scalable and reliable software solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and technical solution reviews to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Leverage AI-assisted development practices to improve software delivery speed, code quality, testing effectiveness, and documentation.
• Review code for maintainability, performance, security, and adherence to established engineering standards and best practices.
• Build and maintain tools, automation, and processes that improve software delivery, release readiness, and developer productivity.
• Mentor developers through technical guidance, documentation, training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that promote team growth.
• Improve coding standards, reusable design patterns, team workflows, and engineering practices while accurately estimating work, identifying risks, and delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.
