Job summary

OKX is seeking a Tech Governance - Security Compliance & Governance Engineer (Mandarin bilingual required) in San Jose. You will own cross-functional governance programs, coordinate with regulators, auditors, and internal teams, and leverage AI to accelerate compliance workflows.

You will drive remediation plans, maintain policy estates, and deliver board-ready reporting across engineering, legal, product, and finance, while focusing on robust risk management and enterprise-grade accuracy.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT audit, risk management, compliance, or security governance.
• 3+ years leading governance programs at large-scale internet, financial services, or crypto firms.
• GDPR and APAC data protection regimes familiarity.
• Able to read code, architecture diagrams, and technical design docs.
• Familiar with cloud environments (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, GCP) and security tooling.
• Executive-level written and verbal English; Mandarin helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit remediation programs across engineering, product, legal, and operations.
• Own cross-functional governance work streams; set milestones and remove blockers.
• Conduct IT security and architecture governance reviews with clear findings.
• Build and maintain the policy estate; translate regulatory requirements into guidance.
• Lead regulator and auditor engagement; coordinate external audits.
• Deploy AI to accelerate compliance operations and scale AI-assisted workflows.
• Deliver Tech Governance reporting and dashboards on remediation and risk.
• Track regulatory horizon and brief senior leadership proactively.
