Job summary

CloudBees seeks a Quality Engineer to join our AI-driven testing efforts in Denver. Hybrid work with on-site collaboration three days a week. Design and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers, and mentor peers on quality practices.

The role requires 3+ years in test automation, proficiency with Cucumber, Selenium, and REST APIs, plus CI/CD experience. Gatling/JMeter and container tech are a plus, with strong cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software quality engineering or test automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with automated regression/CI test suites using Cucumber with Selenium and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript and building automated tests.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers using Cucumber with Selenium and REST API testing frameworks, leveraging AI tooling where appropriate.
• Build, extend, and maintain automated regression and CI test suites, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) to deliver fast, reliable quality feedback.
• Leverage AI agentic coding tools to accelerate test authoring and generate courage for complex user flows.
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define acceptance criteria, testable requirements, and quality gates early in the development lifecycle.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing; diagnose defects, drive root cause analysis, and see issues through to resolution.
• Participate in Pull Request reviews, technical discussions, and design reviews, championing quality, testability, and engineering best practices across the team.
• Design and execute performance and load tests using Gatling or JMeter, and analyze results to surface bottlenecks and reliability risks.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our quality engineering practices, tooling, and test frameworks, and help mentor peers on quality standards.
