Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a QA Engineer/SDET to support government projects with a focus on CI/CD-integrated automated testing, AI-assisted test-script generation, and security validation. The role requires US citizenship and ability to work on a W2 basis, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k matching, and life insurance.

Hybrid options exist with work from Ashburn, VA or Gaithersburg, MD. Experience spanning AWS, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and compliance standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience building test automation at scale with QA systems and standards.
• CI/CD-integrated automated testing using GitLab, Tekton, or Argo CD.
• AI-assisted testing for coding, requirements, test creation, debugging, and analysis.
• Hands-on with Playwright, JUnit/TestNG, REST and contract testing, and performance testing.
• Container and Kubernetes test harnesses across AWS ECS, AWS EKS, and Red Hat OpenShift.
• Security and compliance testing including SAST/DAST/SCA and IaC scanning.

Responsibilities

• Perform software testing across unit, integration, end-to-end, performance, and security domains.
• Develop test plans and create automated test scripts integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead AI-driven test-script generation and maintenance using modern AI tooling.
• Debug software issues, analyze failures, and determine root causes.
• Execute feature testing for cloud-native Java services (ECS, EKS, OpenShift).
• Validate environments across Dev, Test, and Ops; manage lab setups.
• Integrate security and compliance testing, including SAST, DAST, and control validation.
• Collaborate with developers within Agile teams.
• Support continuous monitoring and evidence generation for ATO.
