Zymo Research is seeking a Computational Protein Research Associate to join a multidisciplinary team focused on protein engineering, enzyme discovery, antibody design, and AI-driven molecular modeling.

Responsibilities include developing scalable analysis platforms, building predictive AI/ML models, and designing proteins with desired properties, in close collaboration with wet-lab scientists for iterative optimization.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, or related field.
• Proficiency in Python and commonly used scientific computing libraries.

Responsibilities

• Apply protein language models and ML approaches to analyze sequences and annotate functions.
• Use structural modeling tools to investigate protein structures and interactions.
• Design proteins and optimize enzymes and antibodies using AI methods.
• Perform computational screening for experimental validation.
• Collaborate with wet-lab scientists to design experiments and iterate improvements.
