Job summary

Mattel invites a Summer Product Quality Analytics Intern to join the Analytics group working with Google Cloud tools such as BigQuery and Vertex AI to build advanced analytics capabilities. You will help surface insights from product quality data and enable business decisions across global teams.

You will learn from data scientists and engineers while contributing to practical AI-enabled analytics workflows and dashboards.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science, AI, Analytics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
Interest in applying analytics, data science, and AI to real business problems in product quality, consumer experience, or operations.
Experience with SQL and at least one programming or analysis language such as Python, R, or similar coursework-based tools.

Responsibilities

Assist with building and testing AI-enabled conversational analytics experiences for product quality insights.
Work with data scientists, analysts, and data engineers to explore data in Google Cloud, including BigQuery and related analytics tools.
Help translate quality questions from global business partners into data requirements, prompts, metrics, and prototype analytics workflows.
Support data preparation, feature exploration, and quality checks that improve trust in dashboards, models, and AI responses.
Contribute to prompt testing, response evaluation, documentation, and feedback loops for conversational analytics solutions.
Create clear summaries, visuals, or demos that explain findings and help non technical partners use analytics confidently.
