Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Product Design Intern to work on real projects impacting customers, merchants, and Dashers. You’ll collaborate with product, research, data, and engineering to prototype concepts, test with real users, and ship improvements to millions of users.

You will join one of our core teams and be paired with a dedicated manager in a 12-week summer internship hosted onsite at our San Francisco or New York City offices, with relocation support as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in design or tech with an expected graduation Fall 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028.
• Available for a full-time internship over Summer 2027.
• Portfolio showing strong design fundamentals – visuals, interaction design, and user-centered problem solving.
• AI is part of your process and your portfolio includes at least one case study showing how you applied AI in your work or designed an AI-powered experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive a real project from early explorations to polished, shipped work that reaches millions of users.
• Use AI throughout your process — exploring divergent directions, building high-fidelity prototypes, and pressure-testing ideas.
• Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, PMs, and researchers to identify opportunities and ensure high-quality implementation.
• Learn from a dedicated manager and a community of peers in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment that values curiosity, craft, and collaboration.
