Job summary

Oaktree is seeking a Senior Associate to join the Forward Deployment Engineering team to deliver AI-forward, data-driven solutions enhancing reporting, analytics, and operational workflows across investment, portfolio management, and client reporting. The role partners with investment professionals, project managers, technology, and data teams to build scalable, maintainable tools.

You will design and implement Power BI reports, semantic models, and data products for diverse funds and strategies

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of relevant experience in data analytics, BI, financial technology, investment operations, or middle office.
• Familiarity with building Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
• SQL skills including querying, validating, transforming and analyzing data.
• Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to improve productivity.
• Working knowledge of data engineering concepts (ingestion, transformation, validation).
• Understanding of investment management and portfolio reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with investment professionals and analytics teams to identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics and workflows.
• Own solutions from discovery through deployment, documentation, training and transition to support teams.
• Design, develop and enhance Power BI reports and data models for multiple funds and strategies.
• Build AI-forward data-driven solutions to streamline reporting and decision support.
• Perform data sourcing, transformation and validation for reporting and downstream consumption.
• Collaborate with global teams to transition solutions into sustainable support models.
