Job summary

PortX is hiring a Solutions Architect to lead discovery, scope engagements, and design against the PortX platform. You will govern delivery to ensure templated patterns with minimal bespoke code, and drive reusable assets across projects.

You will engage customers in pre-sales and delivery, mentor teams, and promote AI-assisted engineering with architecturally sound decisions, open standards, and AWS/Kubernetes governance.

Qualifications

• Strong enterprise integration consulting and implementation experience with APIs and iPaaS.
• Proven customer-facing skills: discovery, workshops, estimation, executive communication.
• Fluency reading and reviewing code to govern quality and prototypes.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering and code-generation tooling.
• Working knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes/GitOps deployment, and AWS.
• OpenAPI-first design experience and REST/web services design.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, scoping, solution design, and estimation for integration engagements.
• Engage with customers across pre-sales and delivery; build trusted advisory relationships.
• Facilitate workshops, architecture reviews, whiteboarding, and executive presentations.
• Own written solution artifacts: Design Documents, ADRs, estimates, and DoD criteria.
• Act as SME for PortX platform and ensure governance across implementations.
• Gate intake quality and flag misfit deals early; mentor teams toward reusable assets.
• Drive AI tooling adoption and design patterns; convert engagements into reusable products.
