Job summary

Furientis in Los Angeles seeks an experienced perception/estimation engineer to build real-time detection and tracking for its seeker system. You will develop robust IR imagery processing, sensor fusion, and AI-augmented perception components for a high-rate interceptor platform.

You will work within the Seeker Team to move from prototype to flight-ready implementations, balancing latency, accuracy, and hardware constraints while collaborating across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in applied computer vision, perception, or estimation on real sensor data.
• Fluency in Kalman filters and related state-estimation methods with practical judgment.
• Data association at multi-target scale (JPDA or MHT) with modern equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement object detection for MWIR/LWIR imagery, robust to clutter and countermeasures.
• Develop multi-object tracking and state estimation for missile guidance.
• Implement track lifecycle management under real sensor conditions.
• Develop segmentation, classification and discrimination against decoys and background.
• Contribute to perception-related sensor fusion of IR and radar measurements.
• Validate algorithms in simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight data.
• Prototype advanced AI/ML methods for the flight pipeline.
