Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX seeks a Lead Software Engineer to drive AI-enhanced software development in the Data Visualization & BI domain. You will be a core technical contributor, delivering scalable, secure production code and guiding AI-driven design decisions.

The role emphasizes building and evaluating AI-powered features, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows across distributed systems, with a focus on reliability and performance in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Daily use of AI-assisted development tools.
• 3+ years of AWS cloud experience.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with Django or another web backend framework.
• Experience with React or another modern UI framework.
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code knowledge.
• Strong understanding of system design and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Leverage AI-powered coding assistants as core tools in daily development workflows—writing, reviewing, debugging, and refactoring code with speed and precision.
• Validate, critique, and iterate on AI-generated outputs using sound engineering judgment.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI tools and techniques and drive adoption where they add measurable productivity and quality gains.
• Design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions including RAG pipelines, agents, and LLM-powered workflows.
• Architect AI systems with production-level concerns: scalability, cost management, latency, data privacy, hallucination mitigation, and observability.
• Design, build, and deploy agentic solutions with enterprise identity and guardrails.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review code written by others.
