Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Forward Deployed Scientific Informatics Consultant to deliver AI-enabled solutions for digital laboratory operations and scientific intelligence. The role involves eliciting needs, translating requirements into specs, and guiding implementations across GMP and non-GMP environments.

You will work with leading laboratory software like Benchling, Waters CDS/SDMS, LabVantage, and LabWare, with travel up to 50% to client sites.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years in scientific and laboratory informatics in R&D or QC Manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Life Science or CS/Engineering.
2+ years in consulting preferred; life sciences IT/ITO experience valued.

Responsibilities

Deliver AI-enabled solutions for digital laboratory operations and scientific intelligence.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and sessions to gather needs and clarify requirements.
Translate business needs into functional/technical specs for custom or off-the-shelf solutions.
Develop project documentation: requirements, use cases, user stories, designs.
Manage projects using waterfall and agile methodologies.
Design compliant data architectures for laboratory data across GxP and non-GxP.
Support data creation, migration and master data handling for scientific datasets.
Provide end-user training and ongoing system support.
Create SDLC artifacts: process maps, workflows, specifications, test scripts.
