Job summary

Alpha seeks a Reading Program Coordinator to develop and lead K-3 structured-literacy workshops on-site at multiple campuses, including Seattle. You’ll design lessons, monitor progress with AI-driven metrics, and drive weekly targets while engaging young learners with energy and expertise.

You’ll deliver short-group sessions, analyze performance data, and ensure measurable reading gains through targeted instruction and accountability.

Qualifications

• Certified in structured literacy approaches (Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, Wilson, IMSE, or equivalent).
• Bachelor's degree plus 2+ years of full-time K-3 structured reading instruction in the past 5 years.
• Proven ability to design lessons and explain instructional approaches without reliance on a commercial program.
• Commitment to working on-site full-time at an Alpha campus: Seattle or other listed locations (relocation aid available).

Responsibilities

• Create small-group reading workshops for K-3 using adaptive-app data and structured literacy methods.
• Lead daily motivation sessions to help all students meet weekly app objectives.
• Analyze AI performance data to adapt instruction in real time.
• Perform running records, fluency probes, and decoding checks for growth tracking.
• Be an engaging, energetic presence for students each day.
