Job summary

You will work with senior engineers, validate AI-generated code, write tests, and contribute to robust data processing on AWS environments. This is a contract role with DOE pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Approx. 1–2 years of relevant experience; internships or projects count.
• Solid Python fundamentals and readable, maintainable code.
• Working SQL knowledge: joins, aggregations, filtering, NULL handling.
• Exposure to Spark and AWS, including S3.
• Familiarity with Git and code review practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and learning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using Python and Apache Spark with guidance.
• Use AI development tools to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, and docs.
• Review and validate AI-generated code for accuracy and edge cases.
• Write automated unit and integration tests for data quality.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures and accelerate root-cause analysis with AI.
• Prototype solutions and develop lightweight tools to automate tasks.
• Work with AWS-based data environments, including S3.
• Document solutions and share AI development workflows with the team.
