Job summary

Midrex Technologies Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Information Security Engineer to monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across the global technology environment.

You will support security controls, vulnerability management, and risk reduction initiatives while collaborating with IT infrastructure, cloud, and application teams. You will apply AI-enabled security tooling, participate in security awareness, and help maintain ISO/NIST compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3-5 years of cybersecurity, information security, or IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise security technologies in a Microsoft-centric environment.
• Experience investigating security events and coordinating remediation activities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security operations, alerts, events, and incidents from security platforms (SIEM, EDR, email, network, cloud).
• Investigate suspicious activity and coordinate incident response.
• Perform threat hunting and security investigations to identify risks and unauthorized activity.
• Document security incidents, findings, and remediation actions; participate in on-call rotations.
• Support vulnerability management, risk assessments, and remediation tracking.
